I, Rafail, son of the khutasis-tavi Osef Danibegashvili, have taken from you, archpriest Ter-Davit sixty rupees minted at Surat, 60 only. These sixty rupees, if with the help of God I reach Madras, 1 pledge to return whole and without loss in goods, which I shall receive with the help of Shamir-aga or somebody else. Since our destiny is in the hands of God, our Lord, if misfortune or death overtakes me during my journey and I shall not return to Tbilisi, but my goods shall arrive in that city, you shall receive what is due to you according to our contract. In the event the goods are lost and nothing is received in Tbilisi, I leave as earnest our monastery orchard. Beginning from the undersigned date, you shall receive an interest of ten kopeks for every ten rubles.
